- When did you first realize that you wanted to become a dentist?
Growing up, I have always been fascinated by the medical field and have gone through a fair amount of dental treatment myself. I was intrigued by the science and art behind dentistry. When doing a filling or a crown, one must understand the chemistry behind the restoration they are doing in order to ensure the longevity of the restoration. Moreover, one is sculpting something that must resemble all the characteristics of a natural tooth.
This intrigue and beauty I saw within dentistry started when I shadowed my dentist and absolutely loved the field. I liked how the patients become like your family and how each day brings new challenges.
- What is your favorite aspect of dentistry?
The fact that you can see results immediately and notice an improvement in my patients’ quality of life and self-confidence or relief of pain and discomfort.
- If you could sum up your “style of dentistry” in two words, what would they be?
Patient centered or comfort and esthetics
- What is one thing that your patients would be surprised to know about you?
I played varsity football at Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria, AZ.
- Do you have any hobbies/pets/spouse/kids?
I have a beautiful wife, Dr. Ambreen Sandhu and an adorable shih tzu named Sheeba. My wife and I love the outdoors and hiking. We like to try new cuisines and places.
- Who is your role model?
My wife, Dr. Ambreen Sandhu
My wife motivates me to be a better me each day. She challenges me to excel not just in dentistry but all facets of life.
